Establishment of an Efficient in vitro Regeneration Protocol for Brassica campestris L. Var. Tori-7

The aim of the present investigation was to develop an efficient and reproducible in vitro regeneration protocol for Brassica campestris L. var. Tori-7. is one most popular major oil yielding crop plants around world including Bangladesh. For this plant, MS medium supplemented with various concentrations 6-benzylaminopurine (BAP) naphthalene acetic acid (NAA) were used. highest frequency callus shoot obtained on 3.0 mg/l BAP 0.2 NAA from both cotyledonary leaf petiole hypocotyl explants. Elongation shoots also optimized same media composition. inducing roots excised derived shoots, half strength 0.3 indole-3-butyric (IBA) found be more effective than other hormonal supplements applied. Following development roots, raised plantlets successfully transplanted into soil where they produced flowers fertile seeds. R1 generation established natural environment.
